Early Vermont Postcards Collection

Among the many historical items in Middlebury College's Vermont Collection are over 1,100 photographic postcards from depicting landscapes, structures, disasters, and daily life in early 20th Century Vermont. Many of Vermont's towns and villages are represented in the collection, and we are proud to share digitized versions of these important historic images via the Internet Archive. Text on verso: This is between the covered bridge and Mrs. Goulds. The cider mill is all gone, not even a board left. You see the river has changed its course.
